What’s the difference between infrared and traditional saunas?
Infrared saunas use light to heat the body directly, promoting a deep sweat at a lower temperature (120–149°F). In contrast, traditional saunas heat the air (150–198°F), creating a hotter, steam-filled environment (steam is optional) that warms the body indirectly.
Which sauna is right for me?
It depends on your preferences:
Infrared saunas are gentler, making them great for longer sessions and recovery. Traditional saunas offer a more intense experience, ideal for quick, steamy relaxation.
How long should I stay in the sauna?
For an infrared sauna, aim for 20–45 minutes. In a traditional sauna, 10–20 minutes per round is recommended, with breaks in between. Always stay hydrated and listen to your body.
What should I wear?
We recommend wearing a swimsuit or light, loose workout attire. Swimwear is necessary since this is a shared space. If you prefer privacy, you can contact us to book the room for up to 5 people.
How often can I use the sauna?
Using the sauna 3–5 times a week is ideal. Daily sessions in an infrared sauna are safe for most individuals. Start slow and gradually build up your endurance.
What are the benefits?
Sauna benefits include detoxification through sweat, pain relief and muscle recovery, improved circulation, stress relief and sleep support, clearer skin, and enhanced immune health.
Should I shower before or after?
It’s beneficial to rinse off before entering the sauna and take a cool shower afterward to close pores and refresh your body. Since we do not have shower facilities, we provide cool, wet body wipes for your convenience.
Who shouldn’t use the sauna?
Consult a doctor if you:
- Are pregnant
- Have heart conditions or high blood pressure
- Take medication affecting heat tolerance
- Feel unwell or dehydrated
Can I bring water or my phone?
Water: Yes! Staying hydrated is essential.
Phones: Not recommended, especially in traditional saunas, where heat may cause damage.
How do I prepare for a session?
Drink water before and after using the sauna, avoid alcohol or heavy meals, wear light clothing, and bring a towel to relax afterward.
